FRLIC SHINES AT HOME AS BRAVE CF 102 X WFC 29 DELIVERS A HISTORIC NIGHT IN LJUBLJANA
Official BRAVE CF 102 x WFC 29 Results

Ljubljana, Slovenia - BRAVE Combat Federation closed out its November triple-header on Sunday night as the organization returned to Hala Tivoli for BRAVE CF 102 x WFC 29, marking its sixth event on Slovenian soil and the country’s second installment of the year. Fresh off of the historic BRAVE CF 100 and BRAVE CF 101 showcase weekend in Bahrain in early November, the momentum carried straight into Ljubljana as Europe once again took center stage.
BRAVE CF 102 x WFC 29 delivered a 10-fight line-up, featuring nine professional bouts and one amateur clash, with athletes across multiple divisions looking to make a final statement before the new year. With no titles on the line, this was a card built on opportunity rather than championships, and the stakes were undeniable. With 2026 fast approaching, every athlete on this card stepped into the cage knowing that the matchmakers’ eyes were on them.
The night also broke new ground for the promotion, as Domen and Maja Drnovsek became the first couple to ever compete on the same BRAVE CF card, adding an emotionally-charged historic layer to the festivities. Alongside that milestone, the event showcased two women’s bouts, further highlighting the promotion’s continued investment in women’s MMA.
From start to finish, BRAVE CF 102 x WFC 29 delivered Slovenia another memorable chapter in the promotion’s European expansion and a fitting close to a remarkable run of November events for fight fans around the world.
In the main event, Slovenia’s own Miha Frlic sent Hala Tivoli into a frenzy as he stopped Poland’s Patryk Dubiela via second-round TKO. It was a feel-good moment for the Ljubljana faithful, who watched their unbeaten heavyweight keep his perfect record intact at 6-0. After another commanding performance on home soil, Frlic now looks like a strong candidate to challenge reigning BRAVE CF Heavyweight Champion Pavel Dailidko next.
The co-main event saw Marina Merchuk earn a hard-fought unanimous decision win over previously undefeated prospect Marina Spasić. The latter, who had stepped in on short notice for this bout, showed immense grit by pushing the contest to its final bell. The defeat marked the first blemish of Spasić’s career, while Merchuk advanced to 6 wins and 2 losses. Following the fight, Merchuk had a face-off with Monika Kučinič - a glimpse into what could be the first women’s title fight in BRAVE CF history.
The rest of the card brought a mix of decisive finishes, breakout moments, and plenty of storyline movement. The historic appearance of Maja and Domen Drnovsek - the first married couple to compete on the same BRAVE CF event - delivered both triumph and heartbreak. Maja Drnovsek was successful in her long-awaited professional debut, dominating Ghita Chafik from horn to horn for a unanimous decision win. Moments later, Domen Drnovsek’s lightweight bout with Lucian Dragomir ended prematurely after an accidental eye poke rendered him unable to continue. Domen was apologetic to the home crowd, while both fighters showed genuine sportsmanship towards each other afterward. That is a clash that - if the conditions allow - both fighters will be looking to run it back.
Elsewhere on the card, fans witnessed a series of emphatic early stoppages. Jan Berus delivered a blistering first-round TKO over Gabriele Varesano, while Tomáš Galko produced his own second-round TKO against Žan Boženk in their lightweight clash. In one of the night’s slickest submissions, Ognjen Mićović snatched a tight guillotine to finish Lasha Abashidze in the very first round of their super welterweight bout.
David Forster earned a unanimous decision over Amil Tutić in a competitive catchweight encounter, and István Juhász edged out Marko Pečar with a trio of 29-28 scores in their super lightweight meeting.
