A FIGHTING FAMILY AFFAIR AT BRAVE CF 102 X WFC 92
The Drnovšeks Look to Shine Together in Slovenia

When BRAVE Combat Federation touches down in Slovenia this Sunday for BRAVE CF 102 x WFC 29, the spotlight lands on one of the most unique and heartwarming storylines in European MMA. A married couple will compete on the same card, in their home country, chasing victory together inside the BRAVE CF cage. And at the center of it all are Domen and Maja Drnovšek.
For Domen Drnovšek, BRAVE Combat Federation isn’t just a platform. This is where his entire pro career has unfolded. From his debut at BRAVE CF 81 in April 2024, Domen has grown with the promotion, sharpened by increasingly tough competition but anchored by a passionate Slovenian fanbase.
Now looking to build up a winning streak, Domen returns to the cage to face Romania’s Lucian Dragomir, who makes his BRAVE CF debut at the event. Dragomir brings experience, reach, and unpredictability, but Domen steps in with home advantage and the confidence of a fighter who’s found his footing. For him, this isn’t just another fight - it’s another chance to set the tone for the Drnovšek household and keep building toward a breakout run.
While Domen brings familiarity, Maja Drnovšek brings the excitement of a brand-new chapter. She makes her professional debut at BRAVE CF 102, right here in Ljubljana, in front of her people.
Her opponent, Morocco’s Ghita Chafik, is also stepping into the pro ranks for the first time after a 1-1 amateur career. Both are coming in fresh, but Maja has the advantage of energy, emotion, and support from an entire arena rooting for her first step on the big stage.
For the Drnovšeks, fight week hasn’t just been about preparation. It has been about sharing an experience most fighters will never get to have - two spouses cutting weight, studying opponents, and walking into the biggest night of their careers together.
Couples competing on the same professional MMA card are exceptionally rare. Couples doing so in their home country, under a global promotion like BRAVE CF, with both looking to kickstart major career trajectories is something Slovenia will remember.
BRAVE CF 102 features 11 bouts, capped by a massive heavyweight main event between Slovenia’s no. 2-ranked Miha Frlic and Poland’s no. 3-ranked Patryk Dubiela. With BRAVE CF Heavyweight World Champion Pavel Dailidko closely monitoring the outcome, this matchup could determine the next man in line for a title shot.
It’s a main event stacked with implications but, before that spotlight hits the heavyweights, Slovenia will be watching the Drnovšeks chase a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
